Just the one bet here as yesterday: I go for Magic Sky in the 4-20. Milton Harris trained yesterday’s winner and I like the idea of following trainers in form. The only drawback is that he will likely be held up, a disadvantage apparently, not least because of the field size (29) and likely number of fallers. The distance suits though going could be marginally softer. A couple of wins and other decent runs this season already so value at 40/1 (my price being 11/1.) He is also one of Craig Thrake’s two ‘trend’ horses, along with Qhilimar.

Likely dangers are Offshore Account, Qhilimar and Frankie Figg. I have doubts about the latter’s jumping and also an ‘intuition’ that Private Be might play a part. It will also be interesting to see if Silver Adonis runs after winning yesterday’s foxhunter chase.

Another good day’s racing to enjoy!
